Day Without A Gay

I found this pretty mind boggling, but in 30 states — THIRTY — you can be fired for being gay or lesbian. December 10, 2008 is unofficially designated Day Without A Gay. “Fight the H8 with love. Take the day off work and volunteer to be of service.” In my opinion, a worthy use of some PTO.

    Yea it’s pretty ridiculous. Federal law protects against racial, gender, religious, handicapped, and age discrimination in employment, but not sexual orientation. Think it’s about time that’s updated. Then again, it’s about time alot of laws were updated…
