Turns out the nightly news broadcast is not the
day at the races Katie Couric hoped it would be when she began her stint as CBS Evening News anchor last September.
According to recent Nielsen ratings, both of Couric’s competitors, NBC’s Brian Williams and ABC’s Charles Gibson are neck and neck, with Williams barely beating out Gibson’s broadcast; and Couric’s broadcast was down 13.5 percent compared to her rankings this time last year.
