According to reports from the Daily News, a very pregnant Miss Jamie Lynn Spears now has something else to show off other than a baby bump — an engagement ring. Sources say Spears is now engaged to 18-year-old Casey Aldridge, her baby daddy.

Britney Spears is making her way back into mainstream media, but not via the music industry.  Rather, the pop princess will guest star on CBS’s sitcom How I Met Your Mother.  It is not yet confirmed if it will be a one-time appearance or an ongoing role.

If nothing else, it’s gotta beat Britney & Kevin: Chaos.  Although I still don’t think I’ll be tuning in for it, even for Doogie Houser’s sake.

Bai who?

When the D-list isn’t treating you too well, what do you do? Some would resort to petty theft.  Chinese American actress Bai Ling was arrested on petty theft charges for stealing AAA batteries and celebrity magazines from LAX. (Doesn’t she know she can just read Ms. Informed for free?)

Why? Maybe she was craving some much needed attention, but we are calling this one pathetic and naming Bai Ling Hott Mess of the Week.  Congrats.

According to some sources (ok, according to Star), Britney Spears secretly married boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.  Star says the couple married last month, although legality of the union is questionable as Ghalib is reportedly still married another woman.

What do we think? Is Star telling the truth?

So we said we would not post on the antics of Britney Spears anymore, but this post is not about antics, it’s about a comeback.  Since exiting the UCLA medical facility last week, Spears has been spotted at Millennium Dance Complex almost daily.  Sources close to Ms. Informed tell us that she is preparing for a world tour.  Maybe a world tour is just what this troubled pop princess needs to get her life back on the right track.

Like sister like brother. The younger brother of socialite/heiress/waste of life Paris Hilton followed closely in his big sister’s footsteps, as he was arrested around 8:00 yesterday morning for driving under the influence. Sources say his BAC was almost twice the legal limit (and let’s not forget he is only 18). Cops suspected the heir was DUI when he was driving the wrong way down Pacific Coast Highway in his black Mercedes, girlfriend in the passenger seat. Upon arrest authorities also found a fake ID on Hilton.

Barron was certain his big sis would bail him out of this out (literally), but Paris made her little bro stay the night in the LA county jail.

But perhaps the most embarrassing part of this escapade is that Barron, standing at 6′1″, weighed in at a mere 143 lbs. according to his booking sheet. Really Barron? With all that money, you can’t afford a trainer to bulk you up a little? I would bet good money that Paris weighs more than that soaking wet.

This week’s Hot Mess of the Week goes to Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

When his team, defeated by the New York Giants last Sunday at the 42nd Superbowl (effectively putting an end to their almost-perfect season), had to stay out on the field for the final second of the game, Belichick headed for the locker room. Sore loser, Superbowl loser, whatever he is, Belichick abandoned his team at their not-so-finest hour second.

 So while he might not have won another Superbowl or a fourth Superbowl ring, he did win Ms. Informed’s Hot Mess of the Week award.  That’s gotta count for something, right?
