Not long after the engagement of her sister Ashlee to FOB lead man Pete Wentz, rumors are flying that Jessica Simpson and her very own romeo Tony Romo will be engaged any day now. Rumors spurred when Simpson’s friends were toasting her “happiness” at a party thrown by P. Diddy last week.

Sources say she wants to beat her little sis down the aisle, and desparate times call for desparate measures. Simpson will do anything to beat Ashlee to the alter and has considered proposing to Romo herself or pulling a “Britney” — getting Romo drunk and going to Vegas.

Simpson says she feels better matched with Romo than with any of her ex-flames including ex-husband Nick Lachey and ex-boyfriend John Mayer. According to Simpson, there was always a rivalry between her and Lachey, and Mayer was too intellectual for her.

A jock is just about on par with Simpson’s level of intellect, I’d say.

Super, super, super hotttttt Ryan Reynolds is off the market ladies! The hott-hott-hottie, 31, is now engaged to Scarlet Johansson, 23. Reynolds, who was once engaged to singer and fellow Canuck Alanis Morrisette, is currently filming “The Proposal” with Sandra Bullock.

Johansson showed up to the Met Costume Gala in New York last night sporting the new bling. Johansson was previously linked to (D-lister) Josh Hartnett.

Although Ms. Informed is happy for the couple, she’s a little upset as she’s been a huge fan of Reynolds ever since his pizza-making days as “Berg” on ABC’s Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place.

This is almost as devastating a blow as when she found out Kevin from the BSB was married and Lance from ‘NSync was gay. Almost.

As news broke about Ashlee’s engagement and rumors are flying about a possible pregnancy, Jessica was seen shopping with her mom for an engagement ring! Is Jessica jealous that her little sis is getting all the attention? Or is she nervous that ex-husband Nick Lachey might pop the question soon to his current girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo and is trying to beat him to the punch?

Wonder what Tony Romo has to say about all of this.

…Whatever, I still think she looks like a bird. And Nick is clearly way hotter than this Romo guy.

According to reports from the Daily News, a very pregnant Miss Jamie Lynn Spears now has something else to show off other than a baby bump — an engagement ring. Sources say Spears is now engaged to 18-year-old Casey Aldridge, her baby daddy.

Rumors are rampant again that Angelina Jolie has finally given in and said yes to Brad Pitt’s persistent marriage proposals. What woman turns down a marriage proposal from Brad Pitt in the first place? Well, Angelina does have a slight reputation for being off her rocker. She made out with her brother and wore a vile of ex-husband Billy Bob Thorton’s blood around her neck. Who marries BBT but turns down Brad Pitt repeatedly? What is wrong with you, Angie? You are out of your mind!!! What does Brad see in you anyway? I am Team Jen all the way. But I digress…

Maybe this one is true as the couple has been rumored to be pregnant with twins after Angelina showed up to the SAG Awards with a flowing Hermes gown with enough room to conceal quintuplets. Then again maybe it’s not. Stay tuned.

She may have turned him down on I Love New York’s season finale, but when Tailor Made popped the question again for the reunion show, New York changed her tune and said YES! Sister Patterson must be thrilled.
