Recently in the news is the story of a U.K. boy who fathered a child at 13 years old. Sure this is shocking and disturbing in so many ways, but the question in my head is “Why is all the attention focused on the father? Why is he the one posing with the baby on the cover of The Sun? Why not the baby’s mother, Chantalle? Why not both parents?” The answer: Because he is 13. It’s almost as if a 15-year-old mother has no shock value anymore for the media…we are used to 15 year old mothers. Don’t get me wrong, 13 is wayyyy young to be fathering anything, but when did 15 become acceptable?

That’s a sad commentary on not only the U.S., but in this case, the world.

Allegedly, Jessica Simp’s current beau Tony Romo not only cheated on the pop star (and I use that term loosely) — but in her own bed! While Simpson was out of town, Romo invited people back to her house and then disappeared upstairs with a “stunning brunette” for the rest of the evening.

This news broke days after Simpson was critcized for packing on some el bees when she was seen at a Chili cook-off last weekend. A line of celebs have come to Simpson’s defense since then, including her sister Ashlee, Heidi Klum and….Kim Kardashion….a stunning…brunette…

Coincidence? Probably, lol.

Now, if she’s fat, what does that mean for the rest of us women? Although, sporting those mom-jeans was definitely a fashion faux-pau if I ever saw one.

American Idol’s most delusional judge Paula Abdul has recently expressed interest in competing in a season of Dancing with the Stars, but Fox execs aren’t going for it. They have apparently forbade Abdul from appearing on the rival network’s show.

Abdul views the out-of-bounds opportunity as a “phenomenal experience for [her] to be a student.” Abdul, whose resume includes Laker Girl and veteraned choreographer, says DWTS-style dancing is a “form of dance that [she has] never been introduced to.”

At least until July 31. The temporary restraining order place on Osama (Sam) Lutfi was extended until then when another hearing will be held to address Spears’ conservatorship. Brit’s dad Jamie is still in control of his daughter’s estate.

Heath Ledger’s will makes no mention of his ex-fiance Michelle Williams or the couple’s daughter, Matilda Rose, 2.  The will was drafted before the couple got together and before Williams gave birth to their daughter. The actor, 28, who died on January 22 of an accidental overdose of prescription pills, left everything he owned to his parents and sisters. 

However, Ledger’s father, Kim Ledger, assures Matilda and Michelle will be well taken care of.

Like sister like brother. The younger brother of socialite/heiress/waste of life Paris Hilton followed closely in his big sister’s footsteps, as he was arrested around 8:00 yesterday morning for driving under the influence. Sources say his BAC was almost twice the legal limit (and let’s not forget he is only 18). Cops suspected the heir was DUI when he was driving the wrong way down Pacific Coast Highway in his black Mercedes, girlfriend in the passenger seat. Upon arrest authorities also found a fake ID on Hilton.

Barron was certain his big sis would bail him out of this out (literally), but Paris made her little bro stay the night in the LA county jail.

But perhaps the most embarrassing part of this escapade is that Barron, standing at 6′1″, weighed in at a mere 143 lbs. according to his booking sheet. Really Barron? With all that money, you can’t afford a trainer to bulk you up a little? I would bet good money that Paris weighs more than that soaking wet.

No, of course not, but the day that he was basically handed the nomination after Mitt Romney suspended his bid, good old FOX News inadvertently (maybe) labeled him one.  Coincidence? Probably, but then again I would not put anything past Rupert Murdoch and gang.
