And Baby Makes 7,946,488,001

Or so it seems. How many kids do they have now anyway???

There’s Shiloh, Pax, Matrix Maddox (what’s the difference really) and Zaharya, but there may be one (or two) new Pitt-Jolie’s on the way.

Sources say Brangelina are expecting again, this time TWINS. And in true Angelina form, Jolie fueled the flames of the pregnancy rumors by showing up to the SAG awards last night in a flowy dress.

Maybe she is preggers. Or maybe she’s just getting fat.

We’ll see! That tell-tale baby bump always gives them away!

Hott Mess of the Week
1/26/08

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

ultimatehotmess.jpg

While Amy Winehouse is usually a strong candidate for the Hott Mess of the Week, she’s off the hook this week as she has entered rehab. Fox News’ John Gibson is a strong candidate for HM of the Week, after his terribly inappropriate comments about the passing of Heath Ledger, but no one was a hotter mess than the “Ultimate Warrior.”

According to the nut job’s blog post entitled“dead long before 28,” the Ultimate Warrior refers to Ledger as “Leather Hedger” and refers to Ledger’s blockbuster as “Bendover Brokeback” (Does that even make sense…).

But it didn’t end there. Then Warrior then went on to bash the parenting skills of not only ledger (saying “His kid is without a father, yes, but the negative influence is now removed and his own child has the chance for a full recovery.”), but also those of Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea (saying “He insists on sticking around…ruining, and profiting off of, the parentally mismanaged lives of his own children.”)

….Um…who ARE you anyway?????

Dems Get Dirty Down in Dixie

Cartalemi Wuz Here.
obamabill.jpg
It’s the Democrat’s turn in South Carolina tomorrow, and after two big losses in New Hampshire and Nevada and trailing by double digits in Florida, Barack Obama needs a big win in the first southern primary. Polls show him ahead by a pretty comfortable margin, but we all remember the debacle in New Hampshire a few weeks ago. Anything can happen. Well, not anything. Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich has decided to drop out of the race and concentrate on his House seat. So I guess it is safe to say he will not win. His presence in the race will be missed. No, seriously, love him or hate him, he spoke what he believed, and that is not always a common occurrence in modern politics.

These primaries are difficult to poll because it’s hard to predict turnout and many voters remain undecided until they actually enter the voting booth. However, it is safe to say that the black populous in South Carolina is giving Obama the edge over Clinton, and he will need them to turn out in heavy numbers for him to ride to victory on Saturday night.

While Hillary has spent her week campaigning in Tsunami Tuesday states, she has appointed her husband as her proxy in South Carolina, and let’s just say there has been no love loss between the former President and the would-be first black President with Clinton accusing Obama of voter coercion in Nevada and Obama claiming Clinton of making statements that are not factually accurate. Hmmm…which Clinton is running again?

It will be interesting to see what the one Democratic candidate I hardly mention, former Senator and populous candidate, John Edwards, will do after the results come in on Saturday in South Carolina. Remember Edwards defeated John Kerry here in his quest for the nomination in 2004, and if he loses tomorrow, does it make sense to continue his campaign. If I was him I would be in negotiations with either the Clinton or Obama team for a VP spot in exchange for a dropout and an endorsement, but that’s just me. I tend to be realistic — just a little side bar.

Anyway…let’s get down to brass tacks:

Cartalemi’s Call
Obama over Clinton by 7% (He needs to win bigger though.)

They Tried to Make Her Go to Rehab…

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

winehouse.jpg

And now she’ll go, go, go.

Amy Winehouse has entered a rehab program (finally), after footage surfaced of her smoking “fumes” from a “small pipe”.
The video, which was made last Friday, was passed on to Scotland Yard and is now under investigation.

While Amy could face some serious charges, her father, Mitch Winehouse, said this is all in Amy’s best interest.

“Your video of Amy taking drugs may well be the best thing that has ever happened to her. For all the hurt and pain, it may finally be the thing to focus her mind and convince her to get the help she needs to quit for good.”

Winehouse is up for 10 Grammys for her Back to Black album, and label Universal Music Group said in a statement that she will be at the 2/10 show in LA.

“Amy is the most talented and important musical artist of her generation,” the statement said, “and has made huge strides on her road to recovery.”

Radicals to Protest Ledger’s Funeral

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

[A Ms. Informed/Tony Cartalemi Production]

As if a horribly tragic turn of events couldn’t get any worse, Topeka, Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church plans to protest the service of Academy Award nominated actor Heath Ledger for playing the role of Ennis del Mar, a gay man, in Brokeback Mountain, MSNBC reports. The radical organization is infamous for protesting at funerals of soldiers who died in Iraq, as well.

It almost sickens me to write this post, in turn giving this group of whack jobs more (maybe not much, but our numbers are steadily rising) publicity. Why they insist on protesting and cannot let the family and friends of Heath Ledger grieve in peace is beyond me. Get over your personal views and your politics and show some human compassion for a family dealing with a beyond tragic loss. There are more important issues at play now than a role he played in a movie.

MSNBC went on to say that at least the Westboro Baptist Church wasn’t the only group “displaying poor taste” as John Gibson of Fox News began his 1/22 radio show with funeral music and a play on a Brokeback signature line saying, “Well, he found out how to quit you.”

If Imus got canned for calling some girls nappy-headed hoes, I don’t know how this jerk can stay on the air. And props to Westboro for being compared to quite possibly the worst news station of all time!

MSNBC’s Courtney Hazlett had some similiar-in-taste (read: no taste) comments about the tragedy as well. Hazlett remarked, “In a lot of ways, this reminds me — we’ve almost had a dress rehearsal for this with Owen Wilson.” Go back to your tabloid writing Courtney (who formerly worked for OK! magazine) and leave this to real news outlets.

I wonder what Republican Presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee, has to say about this insanity as he is a devoted Baptist, who spent a significant part of his adult life as a pastor and denominational leader in Arkansas. If he agrees, as one of the most public figures of the Baptist Church, I think he should make an appearance at this protest. Show people how heartless you really are or prove us wrong by issuing a statement denouncing this act of human indecency.

According to a GLAAD press release, (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) the organization has gone on the record saying:

“Heath Ledger will forever be remembered for his groundbreaking role as Ennis del Mar in ‘Brokeback Mountain.’ His powerful portrayal changed hearts and minds in immeasurable ways. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.”

And we at Ms. Informed whole-heartedly agree.

So Much For a Truce

A Tony Cartalemi Original clintonobama.jpg

Well, the debate on Monday got downright dirty. Last night, I watched the clip of when Hillary Clinton purposely went off topic to attack Barack Obama. Now I have never claimed to be unbiased and will admit that Obama is not totally innocent in the personal attacks, but I have to say I was sickened by Clinton’s attempt to distort the truth twist the truth warp the truth. Ok, let’s face it, she lied. Until now, I have not been particularly opposed to Clinton and do believe that she often gets a bad wrap. She is an intelligent woman and talented politician who would most likely make a very good president. However, Monday night, she showed pure malice toward her fellow Democrat.

Let’s take a look at what she said about Obama:

“[ He] has said in the last week that he really liked the ideas of the Republicans over the last 10 to 15 years, and we can give you the exact quote. … They were ideas like privatizing Social Security, like moving back from a balanced budget and a surplus to deficit and debt.”

Now let’s look at what Obama actually said:

“The Republican approach has played itself out. I think it’s fair to say that the Republicans were the party of ideas for a pretty long chunk of time there over the last 10, 15 years, in the sense that they were challenging conventional wisdom. Now, you’ve heard it all before. You look at the economic policies when they’re being debated among the presidential candidates, it’s all tax cuts. Well, we know, we’ve done that; we’ve tried it. That’s not really going to solve our energy problems, for example.”

Hmmm, anyone see where Obama says he liked the ideas of the Republicans not to mention specific ideas like privatizing Social Security or turning a surplus into a deficit? I certainly do not, and I challenge Clinton to point out exactly where it is she sees that he said he liked their ideas.

What he actually said was that the Republicans were the party of ideas for a long time — which they were. He said they challenged conventional wisdom — which they did. But what he also said was those ideas are not going to solve our current problems. In effect, he is said the exact opposite of what Clinton is claiming he said. He disagrees with their ideas.

Wow! Hillary, can you sink any lower? I just hope that people see through your vicious lies. You claim that you have the experience to bring about change. Well, how about you start by changing your negative campaigning tactics into a positive discussion of the issues that affect the American people you claim to care about so dearly.

Talk about bad neighbors!

Apparently George Clooney and Britney Spears are neighbors. Clooney found out how close he lived to the train wreck when he came home the night of her mental breakdown (the most recent…there are so many, it’s hard to keep track anymore) and saw helicopters hovering over the neighborhood.

“So now I have to move,” joked Clooney…Or was he?
